Gain1 Robinson - patriarch of the Gain Robinson line in the Robinson Genealogy 1933 Vol. 2. Came from Scotland. Landed at Plymouth, Mass. Will dated July 7, 1763. His grandson, also named Gain Robinson, became a physician, Dr. Gain Robinson, first physician in Palmyra NY 1799. The Robinson Genealogy traces the family back to the Robertson clan, Clann Donnachaidh, of Scotland. The oldest family in Scotland, sole remaining branch of the Royal House that occupied the throne of Scotland during the 11th and 12th centuries.
