Tyler Robinson's father and a 27-year veteran of the Washington County Sheriff's Department. Tyler confessed to him. He called Mike Mitchell (a former deputy and colleague) to arrange the surrender. He did not call 911. The surrender was arranged through the internal law enforcement network. Same department where Sheriff Nate Brooksby operated the Crisis Stabilization Center discretionary diversion mechanism.
