Role
Supreme Court Justice, Powell Memo Author
Bio Notes
Associate Justice of the Supreme Court (1972-1987). Author of the 1971 Powell Memo to the Chamber of Commerce, the founding operational blueprint for corporate-conservative institutional capture. The memo laid out scholar staff to write pro-business material, speakers bureau, textbook monitoring, pressure on university boards, television monitoring with FCC complaints, judicial capture strategy, and stockholder mobilization. TPUSA maps onto this memo point for point. Four months after writing the memo, Powell was appointed to the Supreme Court and adjudicated the infrastructure his memo designed.
